About Us

edible Santa Fe and Friends will be hosting a series of cooking classes and talks centered around sustainable food, farming, and backyard gardening.

Whether you are a beginner, looking to improve your skills, or a seasoned pro…you will always learn something new at Kitchen Sink Stories. Meet your community and join the great, big, lively conversation at our table!

Classes are held at Hanks House at 1800 4th Street Northwest Albuquerque, NM 87102 (unless otherwise noted). Classes are held from 6-9pm on Thursday evenings, and Saturdays from 10am-1pm throughout the year. Classes are limited to the first 20 reservations,  all classes are 3 hours and cost $75 per person unless otherwise noted. All classes are hands-on and include tasting menu and all recipes.

What is Kitchen Sink Stories:
A combination of hands on cooking classes, special guests and lectures, Kitchen Sink Stories aims to bring the best teachers and game-changers in food today to our community. Participants can listen and learn from those creating exciting changes in the world of food. Learn new techniques; pair a local wine or craft brew with a dish you’ve created; create something fresh from your local CSA box. Learn everything from how to write a recipe, to the nuts and bolts of food photography. Visit with award-winning chefs, authors and food rebels.

About the Creators:
Kate Manchester is a chef, food writer, co-publisher of the James Beard Award winner Edible Santa Fe, and founder and former producer of Edible Radio for Edible Communities. Stephanie and Walt Cameron are also co-publishers of Edible Santa Fe and bring their experience as a full service media production company which includes marketing, photography and award winning video production. Together, they offer a combined skill set that combines passion for contemporary food knowledge and the media savvy that can bring the story of food to life. They have created Kitchen Sink Stories, a kitchen where their community can experience firsthand the real flavors and stories of food, and how it impacts and shapes culture.

About Hanks House:
Hanks House is a custom cabinetry and kitchen studio located in Downtown Albuquerque. Founded by brothers Christopher and Ronald Hanks in 1994. Take a peek at their beautiful demo kitchen and their online gallery.


We do offer group discounts at 20% off to groups of 4 or more. Please email us for more information.

Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel your attendance at a cooking class, and can cancel 48 hours prior to the start date, we will refund your tuition less a $15.00 administration fee. If you must cancel fewer than 48 hrs before the start of the class, we will refund 50% of your tuition. You may exchange your registration for another class of equal value. You may also send a friend in your place. Refunds or exchanges must be settled prior to the start of the class.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to insufficient enrollment or instructor illness. In case of cancellation, students will be notified and full refunds will be provided. In the rare circumstance Kitchen Sink Stories must cancel an class, we will do our best to notify you 24 hrs prior to the start of the class and will either transfer your registration to another event of equal value, or refund the full amount of your tuition. In the event of a cancellation, Kitchen Sink Stories is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or miscellaneous expenses.

By attending a Kitchen Sink Stories Event, you agree to be photographed, filmed or recorded on tape, and allow us to use your image in any manner or media for the purpose of advertising and promotion, without compensation, further notice or consent.
